The award-winning Ginkgo is London’s foremost garden company, with a solid background of experience, wisdom and enthusiasm: offering a wide range of expert services from horticulturalists, to tree surgeons and landscape gardeners. Ginkgo grows its own plants at its Surbiton nursery based on pro-environmental principles, fully up to date with the recycling of green waste. Since opening the beautiful Garden Centre off Ravenscourt Avenue, described by Time Out as "a hidden gem", Ginkgo has gone from strength to strength, now employing over 70 people. Its new development (April 2009) incorporates a charming garden shop and cafe, built from sustainable Swedish wood, facing out onto Ravenscourt Avenue, with a secret courtyard at the back surrounded by the winding paths and lush foliage of the garden centre. Beneath Ginkgo's Victorian railway arches is an exquisite new florist shop, Zita Elze Flowers.
