Shehans

This shop has some lovely items however it is extremely overpriced and the staff - Kate and Shelia - are unbelievably rude to customers. Recently I purchased a glass christmas decoration which I found to have a fault in the glass and tried to return. Firstly, before going back to the shop, I called up and spoke with the shop assistant Shelia. I explained the fault I had found and asked whether I might return it, feeling that perhaps for a single ornament it may not be worth it but would chec anyway. I was cut off mid sentence and told I could not possibly have bought the item in the shop. "No you did not buy it here" I was told more than 4 times while trying to get the rest of my sentence out. "but i have a receipt with your phone number on it, I really am not mistaken", "yes you are, you must be confused". Shelia then attempted to blame a rival (and much nicer) store in the putney exchange before putting the phone down on me. Next I went into the store and was confronted by Kate - the owner and manager who was not only as rude as shelia but was also agressive towards me in front of other customers. I was gobsmacked. Needless to say I left without my original purchase and without a replacement or refund, too disgusted by such dreadful service which according to Shehans' own website is described as "very friendly customer service". HA!

I would strongly urge people not to shop here. While I am sure much of their stock is in good condition, you certaibnly won't receive appropriate service should you be unfortunate enough to find you have bought something which is damaged or faulty. I would recommed Farrango or Huttons instead, both inside the Exhange.

Hopefully Kate and her inadequate employee sheila will learn that being nasty to their customers is no way to win loyalty.
