It's overpriced...

Customer service when returning an item was very poor-patronising and slow.

Just phoned them up due to a Zyam thermostatic shower valve being on the blink. Got through to a very knowledgable guy who told me how to disassemble the taps and look at the valve. His instructions were 99% accurate, and once I got access to the internals, I just tried adjusting the orientation of the tap connected to the valve which immediately fixed the issue (i suspect the tap was never fitted properly).

Didn't charge me anything for the advice, so only seems right to repay them with a good review.

I took a look on the website, there's loads of choice and helpful hints and tips, then I visited the shop as I live fairly near. A real find, lots of baths, showers, taps etc on display, some really unusual items such as painted cast iron baths and stone basins, but nothing too break the bank expensive. Bought a wall hung WC and neat little basin for our cloakroom and the sales guy was very helpful and well informed. He asked lots of questions and didn't rush me to make a decision

Bathroom cabinet with side laser switch needs gap of 15cm from wall otherwise cabinet lights on all time.

Sales rep did not tell us this on purchase and now say its a repeated problem with many complaints but Aston Matthews will not take cabinet back.

Recently finished a big refurbishment project including updating two bathrooms and the kitchen. We had problems with most of the other suppliers we used but not with Aston Matthews where we bought a cast iron bath, two showers, taps, basins and toilets. There is plenty of choice on the website and in the Essex Road showroom so we could have a different look in each room. The staff really know their stuff and gave genuinely helpful advice and everything was delivered on time and in perfect condition. I only wish all suppliers were as professional!

The brightly coloured cast iron baths in the Aston Matthews shop window have often caught my eye, but I didn't have an excuse to visit until recently when I updated my bathroom. As well as the cast iron there are modern baths too, plus toilets, basins, taps, showers - everything you need! I spent ages in the shop choosing and the staff were friendly and really helped to point me in the right direction. Everything looks designer but it doesn't carry a designer price tag. I would recommend this shop if you have a big bathroom project or even if you just want to buy a toilet roll holder!

From start to finish Aston Matthews proved themselves to be a very professional business. This is a big shop with a varied choice of bathroom fittings. For my bathroom I chose twin basins, bath, shower taps and WC. The staff were extremely helpful and took a long time talking me through the options available and what would be most suitable for my home and budget. Delivery was on time, everything arrived in mint condition and the bathroom looks fantastic. I will be using Aston Matthews again when I hope to transform our downstairs loo later this year.

Used Aston Matthews for a project in Kensington. The staff are informative as well as being friendly and professional.

Excellent choice of both traditional and contemporary sanitary ware and fixtures/fittings. Provides the public with the same price as trades receive. Products are mostly European, reasonably priced and of high quality. Delivered on time.

Will use again for future projects.
