I went into the Camden Branch to return something which I'd bought on a gift card and I had no receipt. I was told to call Argo Head Office and that I'd need to give the till number that I bought the item! How is anyone supposed to remember which till they used! Argos Head Office did NOT need that information.
I later returned with my gift card and wasn't allowed to return the product due to a time factor, even though the manufacturer had told both me and a member of the Argos staff who had spoken to them that I would be able to.
Finally I asked how much was left on my gift card and they couldn't tell me. I asked if gift cards expired and was told they do. I asked when mine would expire and they couldn't tell me. Now, looking on the website, I see you can check those details online, but the woman who served me wasn't prepared to give me that information.
I dealt with 3 members of staff, and one was very helpful. The other two really were not.
