Unfortunately, I have a similar review of the previous person. I have just left Cafe Josephine with 4 friends after a terrible experience. My wife was not happy with the salad and requested to get another dish at which point they refused to change the dish and interrogated her as to what was wrong. She explained the food was not up to standard to which the person replied other patrons were happy with the salad and that she would have to eat it and would not be getting any refund or exchange. We were in utter shock at this response but we let it go.
When we were ready to leave and asked for the bill we once again requested the salad to be taken off the bill as it was taken away immediately after we complained. He refused and said that our friend who ordered the salad did not look hungry in the first place. When we asked him if he didn't care about our custom in the future he replied saying this is how I have run my restaurant for the last 23 years, these are my rules and in here the customer is not always right. He then went on tell us that he had bills to pay and then proceeded to give us the exact figure of his rent.
And most shocking of all when we said this was poor value for money, he said that if money was a concern we should go to Tesco rather than eating at his cafe. We are all very disappointed by the way we were treated and will NOT be going back.

The only reason for this negative review is because of the way that my friend and I were treated. We were having lunch when one of our babies decided to be niggly, but not to the point of screaming or crying or even for more than 5 minutes when the manager approached us and asked us to leave on request from complaints from other patrons! I am still in shock! This after ordering rather expensive eggs benedict and lattes, and with a restaurant not even filled to capacity!
