Visited Cafe Concerto on 24.08.14 and extremely disappointed despite the attractive setting.

Despite fairly prompt service for our starter and pot of tea, which was quite good, our main course got forgotten.

Main course arrived 30 minutes late; rather dry chicken escalope and duck with plum sauce, mash potato (duck was burnt and difficult to cut).

Despite two enquiries we could not get any idea how long our main course would take to arrive!

This place is not for everyone, you got to have a certain "je ne sais quoi" to appreciate this cafe... I like this place. Service is good and quick.
Your luck if you get a seat.

Quite simply this place pretends to be something it is not.

The interior decoration and look of the cakes from outside is beautiful, however the service, quality of food and value for money is extremely poor.

Service was very slow after being seated, food quality was at best average at worst poor. The afternoon tea was definitely the worst I have ever had (and extremely pricey for what you received). The salmon quiche was pre-made and reheated in a microwave!

I do not believe you should leave a cafe or restaurant believing that you could have produced better food yourself (and certainly not at those prices), but sadly I that was the case.

We used to go to this place every time we came to london. The waiters used to be cordial n polite and the food was pretty nice (quite expensive tho). We went there two days ago but this time things didnt go thé way we expected. The waiter (a small blond girl) was very rude and the food expensively average. I'd recommend the manager to teach some of his waiteress to smile n the basics of politness.
