Relaxation is an art form perfected by the Italians, and bringing this concept to London's Roman Road is Chicchi, a trendy cafe and art lounge where you can linger over a cup of fragrant coffee and a slice of cake, either alone or with friends. The atmosphere is unhurried and mellow and the quiet background music helps you feel at ease whether you're there for a quick snack or a lazy lunch.
By looking at the menu could caused me a bit of dilemma because I wanted to try a bit of everything, but since that's not easy, I tried a tasty salad with avocados and prawns and a cup of cappuchino it tasted like out of this world and my friend had turkey and bacon with a glass of italian white wine. They have some delicious pasta dishes as well as homemade beef lasagne whilst the pizza sandwiches with ham, cheese and tomato are exciting.To finish with we had a Passion Crunch cheese cake and waffle with ice cream and fresh banana. Toasted waffles come with a range of different toppings while ice creams are a popular choice for dessert.
By checking the menu in more detail i have noticed home made milkshakes and smoothies, Chicchi serves a number of Italian wines and beers and i had seen a new addition to the menu Italian Style home made Pizza, I will certainly tyr that on my next visit.
I would definately recommend this place, easily the best place in east london. I loved the Art on the walls as well!!
