The first and only important thing to say is the food is PURE HEAVEN. The service is descent and it is a bit pricey but this matters not a squat when you taste this FANTASTIC food.

Have been eating this for over 30 years since I was a small child and I live in Peterborough some 80 miles away. Can only get there a few times a year and sometimes I make the trip SOLELY for the food. I have been known to leave breakfast and eat 5 of these DELICIOUS pies, and no I'm not the size of a house lol.

This is the only food I would ever think of indulging in so wildly, simply SCRUMPTIOUS.

Been going here on and off for over 30 years. Always top quality pie and mash.Staff are friendly and always say hello. If you're looking for something fancy then you're missing the whole point of pie and mash. Writing this has made me hungry. Off to get pie and mash....mmmmmmm. Love it!

This is proper east-end food! Don't expect anything fancy - its simple, old fashioned pie, mash & liquor! Tastes great, the staff are always friendly and chatty and the place is clean! Wonderful.

food fantastic, service awful, ushered out by clearing tables around you at 2.45pm, advertised as open until 3pm, twice I have now had sign turned over on approach to the door at 2.50pm, was aware I was a little later so going in for a take away and to stock up on pies, so sad they do not need the customers, been coming here for generations,no more, will be on the look out for a replacement even if I have to travel.. poor show ladies ;-( if I was the boss, new staff not in a rush to leave BEFORE closing,at 3pm as advertised what a shame another tradition demising!!

I have been using this Pie and Mash shop for over 30 years. It is the best by far. My Daughter loves it and so do my friends. I have taken visitors from Florida and Paris to eat there and they loved it. I am a Leyton boy but live in North Devon now but I still manage to get back about once a month to have my "3 and 3" and pick up some pies and liquor for the freezer. Just the best!

Top pie & mash shop in London, family run business for generations, originated in Bow road E3 AND IS STILL THE VERY BEST FOR TASTE AND QUALITY.
Real pie and mash lovers will know this is the one to go to, I live 70 miles away now and still go here whenever possible, I may be a bit biased as Leslie the owner is a friend we grew up together.

Best pie and mash! I live in Cornwall now and miss this place more than anything else. In the eighties I worked round the corner and used have my lunch here every other day or so. This is proper food and I always visit if back in town.!

Been eating pie and mash all my life and sadly over the years, the one's I have used Stratford - Bethnal Green have closed down but have been coming to this one now for 10-12 years and hopefully for many more. Best pie and mash I have had - mum and dad love it.

Been going here for years and hope to for many years more, it's got to be one if the best traditional Pie and Mash shops around , fantastic price I go with my wife and 2 boys and can feed the lot of us for £20 !! I am not originally British but I tried Scottish haggis in Edinburgh,Irish stew in Dublin, faggots in a pub in Wales and loved them all. Thought this place will have some proper east london foog but it was absolutely foul. Pie tasted like cheap oil, green sauce ("liqqa") and mash tasted of nothing
