Bought a cake for my mothers birthday. I was advised that the cake was made with Philadelphia cheese and had fruit inside. I brought home a sponge cake with butter and sugar.Very poor quality and paid £25 for a cake we could not eat. Stay away very bad customer service. Spoken to the manager she said to me I will not refund you and put the phone down.

The quality of the products in Chorak are really quite poor. I don't know how they manage to stay in business so close to Sable D'or.
If one compares the products from the two shops they are seemingly the same, but if one tastes the products from the two shops they are like night and day. Sable D'or has genuine french traditional artisan quality products - pricey albeit - and Chorak has something of so low a quality that not even Sainsbury's would sell it.
The savoury bread in Chorak is particularly poor. Avoid their breads and baguettes.
