After visiting this small, friendly, vibrant family run Italian café/restaurant a few times, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that the vast majority of their customers are regulars. Captain Corelli’s décor has a very lived-in feel and attracts a real cross section of patrons from tradesmen, office workers mingling with local residents. In this current climate, finding a place that’s been around for the thick end of 4 decades is a rarity!

As for the food they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects; salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza and toasted sandwiches, all priced very very reasonably. The coffee at Corelli’s is without question as good as any one would find in London, try their fantastic espresso . . . . AMAZING!!

Outstanding dishes with Enzo the chef. Pasta cooked to the minutes with freshly made sauces. My favourite Spaghetti al Pomodoro...

I had Sunday lunch in Captain Correlli's and it was like taking a short break in Italy! Wonderful food, great people-watching, a huge free-for-all (don't go expecting nice reserved tables - it's whatever table you can join in on), and FULL of Italian people, sometimes savouring a fabulous dish, sometimes just dropping in for an espresso, standing at the counter.
Delicious mayhem!
Definitely one of the great highlights of Battersea.

Probably the best traditional trattoria style restaurant in London. Fresh food served every day. Outstanding pasta dishes and great coffee.
