Britannia Fish Bar

Have been using this fish bar for many years despite it not being nearest to home. It produces fish 'n chips of the highest standard as well as a large range of other things such as pies, fried chicken, spare ribs. However the large range of alternatives has never affected the quality of the core meal, fish 'n chips. Service is always efficient and friendly. I urge you to give it a try if in the region but it'll have to be takeaway, it's not a sit down joint.

Great choice of fish (cod, rock, skate, plaice, and haddock)and, as pointed out in a previous review, generous portions (I suggest trying a small order of chips, as the large one may be too much).
First tried Britannia in December 2013 after reading about it in a free local magazine, and have been taking out from there almost every week since.
The only reason I didn't give it 10 stars is because I've tasted better cod roe and the place is strictly a take-out joint. However, the fish, especially the skate, deserves 10 stars, as does the friendly service.
