Golden Canton

Golden Canton is nowhere near me by any means. I arrived too early for a gig in Herne Hill and decided to grab something to eat to kill time. Although it's a takeaway the lady kindly let me sit in there to have my meal, and let me tell you it's the best chinese takeaway meal I have had in years! I live right across town in West London and it takes me about 2 hrs to get there, but I now visit at least once a month (crazy right)?! I just believe when you find a good product it's hard stay away!!

Golden Canton is definitely my favourite Oriental cuisine in the area, the portions are admirable compared to some of the small portions I've received from other cuisines.
The cost of the dishes are not inexpensive and would suit an individual or group having a takeaway night in.
I haven't experienced any issues with the food or service and they generally tend to let you know how long it'll take for delivery. Usually about 10mins for collection add another 20/30 for delivery.

This company is disgraceful. The staff are the rudest, most obnoxious creatures to walk the earth. They messed up my order, refused to give me a refund...when I stood my ground and demanded that I speak to the manager. He said 'yea, yea, yea' and hung up. I am livid.

Worst take away experience ever, i ordered a large take aware order at 6.50pm. When the food finally arrived after over an hour of waiting, i realised that my dish was missing. When I called Golden Canton, Herne Hill back, they did not apologise but gave every excuse under the sun as to why the dish wasn’t included. They did however offer the cook it again and redeliver. I have been waiting for over 2 hours (3 hours since i placed my original order) and have still not received my dinner. I have called continuously and all they have said is that they can’t get on to the driver. My meal has yet to be cooked, they were unapologetic, they did not make any effort to replace my meal quickly. Do not ever order take out from Golden Canton, Herne Hill!

Really tasty food I would reccomend salt and pepper prawns and crispy shreadded beef. The staff were OK but were slow and took about an hour to answer the phone! Overall its my fav chinese in the area
