Yes the cakes are over priced but, I think your paying not for the ingredients but the artistry, labour that goes into making the cakes and the many staff members they have.
Managers and owner must take the criticism on board and address them, if not they will find it hard to get new customers through the door and old will venture else where, that would be a shame if they went somewhere else.
You need a tablet in the store so the customer can browse through with prices shown, I mean if the person behind the counter does not know the prices of the model cake in the window, then there is a problem with training staff.
You go to the restaurant and if you don't know something on the menu, they would explain it to you, should it not be the same in the cake shop.

The shop isn't in a great position so there is probably a low footflow and number of customers.
The shop itself when you enter is very dated..yes that can add to a charm hoevert the front display cabinet feels overcrowded and examples of character cakes sit on the top.
I am hoping they have a really nice way to select your cake and create it but tr server tells me they don't , gives. me a card and says it's all on the facebook page..
Cakes are about feeling good, treating yourself andyou long to be welcomed but the male served, though in his thirties maybe, talks like Kevin the grumpy teenager. Iaskef if they had jobs and what the roles were. He replied 'yes we have many jobs available. Just depebfd what you can do".truly inspirational

Not to be deterred, I asked for the price of one of the cakes on display as a guide. The lady couldn’t provide this and unconvincingly made up a price.
I left dissatisfied and disappointed. I provided feedback on their Facebook page which was balanced and unemotional. The response I received offered no apology but matched the rudeness I received in the shop.
I would suggest the store owners invest in customer service training for all members of staff, including management, as based on many reviews, this is clearly an area that requires significant improvement.

Points for improvement: reply to feedback and issues raised; don't treat customers aggressively and dismissively; make better cakes.

When I was ready to cut the cake I noticed that the inside was nothing like the picture given with an unmistakable spelling of "23rh" on the cake VERY DISAPPOINTING !!!! Called back Monday to be told that I could not have a refund and was my choice to not serve the cake. Manager refused to speak to me and denied he was in the shop.
Cake went mouldy 3 days later.
