Why has nobody mentioned the croissants? Those croissants... Eight years after moving out of the area, I still dream of them.

I love this french deli, no matter what other people say. The food is amazing and the staff are amazing and so kind to you when you walk into the shop. There are so many staff so practically everyone can be served at once. There is a wide selection of food, i have tried new things there and I have loved them. Best french deli, i have ever been to

used to be good , not anymore, some of the staff are very rude ( 3 girls) so same problem as a few years back. ( one left and came back, the other two are new, been there 3 or 4 months) they gossip instead of listening to customers and sometimes laugh at you literally and convey themselves in a stupid way. if you add to this the food area under the counter could do with a good clean, the baguette is undercooked and not fresh any longer ( staff does not care) , I think the competition in local area has become better!

used to be excellent. Now some of the new staff employed is rude and spend time either gossiping instead of working or laugh at customers. Pity, used to be a good, but with the competition of other shops , and the fact that it takes some willing to queue at lunch time for lack of space, really better places to shop.

Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention.
As a customer you always expect everything to be as perfect as possible. However, sometimes in a company, despite all the effort of the management, some very bad days exist. I am not trying to excuse my staff, however, on that particular week end, my main manager was on Holidays, and two staff called off sick. The girls have probably acted in a very immature way, however who has not done so when being 20 years old? If you would like to discuss further this matter, feel free to contact me.

best food and service in london! sometimes you have to wait a bit to be served as there are many many clients, and at lunch time queues outside. But so worth it, good quality , fresh and feels like France , the moment you step in the shop.

I’ve been a regular English Customer for over 3 years at Chanteroy I've always had excellent service. What I love is, they bake all day, I often get a baguette freshly made still warm from the oven whilst I wait. I'm greeted beautifully in French then served perfectly in English Voilà

Lovely fresh selection of pastries and French produce. Shopped here for 15 years. Staff today refused to cut in Danish Pastry in half for my children, as they said if they did it for me, they'd have to do it for everyone! They then went on to add that they wouldn't do it because I hadn't said hello when I came into the store! Honestly if I wasn't so upset and shocked I would have looked for the hidden camera. Be careful Chanteroy, if Sainsbury's moves in to SW18 they will serve lovely pastries but without the attitude and half the cost. I love supporting small local shops but will not go here again to be treated so poorly. PS I did say hello - think I even smiled which is more that the staff could manage.PS Danish was lovely but left a sour taste!

I was delighted to finally discover this little French shop some people have keep for themselves for years !!!!
The price are reasonable, the shelves are filled with only few item handpicked from the most popular item in every little French shop in France, it's a concentration of what I missed the most from France, great honest food.

Quite agree with previous post. Staff is rude and food choice not particularly interesting... much prefer the italian delicatessen down the road!

Hello,
I am French and do not like Chanteroy. The staff are rude, unfriendly and food very average - it is basic french supermarket food and not very exciting. It is also overpriced. My advice is do not bother going!

As you all might be aware, it is very difficult in London to have some staff very involved in what they do. You might have sometimes a disappointing experience but this does not mean that three months later you will not have the best person you have seen in decades behind the counter. Please when you post something on the internet, just because you've just had a average experience, never forget that this will last for a long time compare to a staff which might just stay for two months.

Fantastic shop for all French products, fresh baked goods, cheese, charcuterie, etc. Very reasonably priced. You just have to listen to many of the clients speaking French to realise that the community has given this shop (and delivery service) its seal of approval

10/10 for the food. If you're after a baugette you wont find a better one in London. Good simple ingredients which taste great. Often walk 20 minutes to grab one on the weekend and I'm obviously not the only one because there are usually people pouring out the door at lunch time on the weekend

Delicious French food - baguettes pastries cheeses at VERY good value. Only about £2.00 for a very tasty baguette sandwich - awesome value! Best fast-lunch shop in London!!
