Megan's

Having been recommended this place for a cosy second date I didn't hesitate to call and book a table. However, my first point of contact with the restaurant was a confused waitress who was quickly pushed off the phone & replaced by someone calling themselves 'the manager'. A blunt tone is an understatement as I was told I would have to push my preferred time back an hour & half so we could have a table in the garden (I was told this was a must by my friend!) So we turn up for our table at 9pm to be placed on what could only be called the 'corridor table' closer to the toilets than the garden. When I approached the manager to ask if this were a holding table and if we were eventually going to be moved, he immediately barked at me “You were never promised a garden table” and walked off. Needless to say I was a little red faced in front of the date & the rest of the diners. The food and wine did not disappoint but all of this was totally overshadowed by the terrible customer service & subsequent atmosphere created…a real same as this could be an absolute gem of a restaurant.

Not sure what the last post is about as Megan's is excellent. Some of the best food I've eaten in London. The ingredients are all top quality and carefully sourced. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable.

I have gone there several times, the food never dissapoints and always manages to be inedible, the service is always horrible and it is by far the worst customer service I have ever seen.
