Besides running a very successful business and valuing their customers, Jay and Patrick are also very supportive of the local community and always happy to help in fundraisi9ng events serving their delicious food.

Mrs Jay's chickpea curry is to die for - looking forward to seeing them at Croftmas in Crofton park on 30 Novemebr.

I run a London holiday let in Brockley and recommend that my guests use Jays Budgens. Recently some guests told me that they'd overloaded themselves a bit (I do supply a shopping trolley on wheels as it's about a 9 min walk away) but they still had a lot of bags to carry. They told me that Jay very kindly gave them a lift back home with all their stuff and were so thrilled to find somewhere local that was so helpful and well stocked. top marks! I will continue to recommend Budgens to all our guests.

Since Jay re-opened as Budgens some years ago, we always go there for all our "top-up" groceries and even some items that can't be got in larger supermarkets. Jay and Patrick are always friendly and helpful and remember their customers and what they like. They treat children as people and valuable customers in their own right - something lacking in many shops. When I was ill and needed some basics, I phoned and explained my situation. Within two hours, a member of staff turned up at my door with my groceries and the correct change. They are the best!

Jay's Budgens is the best local conveniance store in Brockley. They sell a wide variety of unusual products like artisan breads and humous. They also stock a great range of fresh herbs and all other well known brands. Jay himself is a top bloke, he's very friendly and very much valued within the local community. You always receive service with a smile. I couldn't recommend Jay's Budgens any more!

Have only found this store recently.Very impressed with helpful staff and general 'mood' of people.Also very well stocked.Has filo pastry Nice change hope it doesn't drop standards.

Beautifuly presented, friendly service, i think the same owners have been for 30 years.
Generally seem quite reasonable in price, cheaper than the CO-op, and better stocked.
Nice family people.
