Mr Liu

We ordered as a group over the phone and I ordered Special Fried Noodles (17).
Other people ordered their meals.
It was delivered but Mr Liu delivered Singapore Fried Noodles (17A) which is a spicy dish.
It ended up in the bin. Not what I ordered and blew my head off after two mouthfuls.
Mr Liu should LISTEN.

This place provided me with one of the worst take-aways I've ever had. I live five minutes away and by the time I got home the special fried rice was tepid. It was also greasy and contained several strands of chicken that were too tough to chew. The prawns in black bean sauce were over cooked and soggy, the green and red peppers were tired and the whole ensemble tasted strangely of washing up water. £8.60? Never ever again.
They should be ashamed.

This is a great place to eat Chinese food at a reasonable price. The service is impeccable, the decor is sweet and intimate and the food is excellent value. It's all cooked on the spot and served sizzling hot. Children and adults love it equally. Go and try.

I would utterly agree with the positive comments already posted here about quality, value and service. I have been ordering Chinese food from Mr Liu since 1996 and it is consistently excellent - in fact when friends visit me they specifically ask if we can have Mr Liu Chinese food to eat (and really I'm not a bad cook!). Firm favourite. Very fresh food - prawn dishes are a particular favourite - and they are always happy to make the dishes extra hot for us chilli lovers. In extremis, and only when Mr Liu has been closed, have tried other Chinese in the area - they don't come close. Very friendly staff, fast delivery, and go the extra mile on customer service. Order and enjoy.

I have been a customer since I moved to Battersea in 1995 - I can honestly say it is the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Restaurants on Lavender Hill come and go, but Mr.Liu's has been consistent due to 1. The delicious, value for money food,2. the food is ALWAYS fresh, 3. great customer service.
I agree with another reviewer that it is a shame that you can't pay by card, or order online, but I recommend this restaurant highly.

Mr Liu does great food! I just wish he was open on Sundays :0( I have been disaapointed so many times.

Mr Liu is the best Chinese Take Out in Clapham if not SW London.
I have been getting take out from Mr Liu's for the past 16 years and I can confirm that the food is consistant in taste and quality and that they have developed the menu appropriately over the years to meet the taset of his customers.
Mr Liu is a diminuative man who is all about customer service without fuss, I love his food, service and his team.
Fault/failure he does not accept credit card or debit card payments and is not set up for online orders.
