I really recommend this treatment just before a trip abroad

Elemis Day Spa is located centrally in the heart of Mayfair tucked away in a quiet court yard just off New Bond Street. The Spa is uniquely designed with hints of colours and textures from around the world including Bali, Tibet, Japan, Morocco and Thailand - it certainly is quite stimulating with an astounding scent.

I was led up a maze of staircases to the treatment room which was equipped with a heated bed, perfect after coming in off the cold morning London streets. Today I was getting a Total Face and Body Polish, a brand new treatment for Elemis which I was informed will smooth and brighten my skin and it certainly needed it as the winter wreaks havoc on my skin which makes it very dry.

To start with my whole body was scrubbed and exfoliated and then wrapped up on the toasty warm bed like a baby in swaddling, it was thoroughly comforting and I could easily have caught up on sleep! While my body soaked up the moisture of the scrub it was my face’s turn for a treat with a facial tailored for my individual skin type.

While my face and body were melting away in moisture I had a hot stone neck and shoulder massage, I found this completely invigorating and it eased the tension in my back almost instantly as the heat was intensely satisfying. Once my face was cleaned off I then had to use the shower and got to try some of the Elemis shower gel to wash off the scrub which smelled amazing much to the pleasure of my nose.

Lastly I had a creamy moisturiser applied all over my skin which left me sparkling like Edward Cullen on a sunny day. I had tiny gold specs glinting at me whenever I moved and felt like I should book a flight straight to a Caribbean island so I could wear a bikini all day! I really recommend this treatment just before a trip abroad or even just to get rid of dead skin after the winter or any time of year for that matter.
