My husband was pleasantly surprised by his recent Cocoon haircut and, as I look at him more than he looks at himself, I was too! So much so that I decided to make an appointment for myself. The consultation was very thorough and sympathetic. I was anxious not to have anything too radical or irreversibly extreme, (which has happened to me before in other salons, where the hairdresser gives the impression that they give you the cut THEY want). In this case I was very pleased with the result and will definitely make use of their loyalty card to go again. thank you Keith!

Ok, let’s get it straight here. I'm a guy who doesn’t expect too much from my hairdresser, just the usual trim on the back and sides and some off the top, that’s it Despite the simplicity of my cut, I chose to use a hairdresser instead of a barber, as in my experience barbers only know how to use trimmers on grade 2, and I know by paying a bit more for a hairdresser, I'll get someone who'll actually cut my hair and take their time. Well, that was my opinion until about 4 hours ago, when I had my hair cut in Cocoon hairdressers in Chiswick, now no longer.............

I wont go on here, but basically I went out today with 25 quid in my pocket to pay for a decent hair cut. I took a stroll down the High Road, and went past the usual names on the street. Rush, Tony and Guy etc (all of which I wish I had used!) and I saw a sign up for '15 quid men’s hair cut, walk in only'. Perfect, I thought as I walked into Cocoon thinking I had got myself a bargain (usual price £25).

It all seemed professional at the beginning. Sat me down asked me what I wanted before going for a wash then the cut began. I say began, because as soon at it had begun it had finished. No word of a lie, it was over in under 5 minutes. It was only when the guy asked if I wanted product in my hair, I realised this was actually it and I asked if he could take more off. The guy up until that point hadn’t asked me if I liked it, or showed me the back or anything. Anyway, a few motions of the scissor later and again all done. I decided to give up at this point!

Anyway back home now and looking at my hair. The back is longer than the top, which in my mind is called a 'mullet'. The whispers of hair on the neck which are normally shaved are still there, my sides burns looked like a cat has attacked them and I’m feeling robbed of £15.

In a nutshell, Cocoon offered a cut for £15 but obviously didn’t want to waste their time on such a cheap deal, so just rushed me through. Un-friendly, un-professio
