Chez Stephan is an utterly unique concept combining hairdressing, fine wine and art. Every hair appointment comes with a glass of wine as standard (or tea or coffee) and Chez Stephan also function as a wine merchant, selling by the bottle to walk-in customers. There are monthly wine tastings and occasional artist's private viewings and concerts. With it's distinctly French atmosphere Chez Stephan is about offering more than just a hair cut and making a cultural contribution to the community.

A completely horrendous experience. I am a highlights veteran -having had them done for over two decades. I have never met such arrogant, rude, unprofessional, talentless people. It took a basically hung-over hairdresser four hours to totally botch up half a head of highlights. They also seem to have trick of forcing add-ons, usually for about £25.00. onto the experience. I was told I NEEDED toner and was charged an extra £25.00 for it. There was no apology, no discount, no accountability. Total denial they had done anything wrong. Absolutely disgusting colour. STAY AWAY - there are far better places to go than this awful Salon.

I had Keratin treatment there and haircut and I was very happy about that. I love my new hair, they made a great job. Lady who served me (I dnt remember her name) was very professional and helful, she gave me so many tips about hair care.

Place is advertised on groupon and wahanda as long as I remember and I took a plunge, bought their voucher and booked my appointment with them mentioning about the voucher at the time of booking. When I arrived the place was a ghost town no one other then the owner himself. Hair colourist that showed up later proceeded with the job, but the colour at the end didn't look remotely as to what we agreed with her (I even showed her lots of pictures) but the worst part was yet to come! When I was ready to pay the owner wanted £100 for just partial highlights and refused to take my prepaid voucher

I asked for a balayage colour with an example picture and they gave me a dip dye with patchiness all around. They tried to correct it once but still I was left with the same effect. They refused to help me and I left the salon very unhappy and cheated. They even tried to get me to pay for membership so I could get it corrected a 2nd time...and accused me of lying about the pics I took of the results, that was very unprofessional and rude to accuse a client of lying then asking them to pay for membership...to improve they need to compensate the client for the salons error and not be rude.
