I’ve tried keratin and protein treatments in many salons in London and Barcelona, but had never achieved a better result than here! Joshua Altback was recommended to me as one of the first and best salons in London specialising in keratin treatments as well as one offering the widest range of such treatments.
I made an appointment with Elena who was very sweet and friendly. She recommended Elastin Protein treatment for my hair type as a replacement for Keratin, which I used to have before (my hair is curly, very dry and damaged from chemical treatment). I was a little bit sceptical at the beginning, but decided to give it a try and let her do it. To my surprise the result was amazing! After a couple of washes my hair became much healthier and shinier with more volume and bounce than after the Keratin treatment.
I couldn’t be happier with my choice and Elena’s professional approach and thorough application! I now keep coming back and recommend the salon to my friends.

Lovely, clean contemporary interior, very friendly welcome and really professional hairdressers. I was given some great advice about a new style that would suit me and also experimenting with some new colour. They give you the courage to try something different, but only insofar as it also suits you. Really enjoyed my experience.

I got the Global Keratin treatment, and I LOVE IT.I have for years blowdried + straightend my hair which has caused spilt ends,I have naturally wavy/curly hair which has always been unpredictable,however now it dries without any product into soft waves with no frizz! very happy!

I got my Brazillian blowdry done from this salon recently. While expensive, the treatment is definitely worth it. Helene was fab! I also got a haircut from Dror, he was really good and I love the cut!

Amazing for extensions by Joshua. My hair is difficult to color and they worked a formula that is perfect - They fixed a mess - I have been back three times since -

I've been going to JA on and off for years. I have tried other salons but I always end up coming back to Joshua Altback. They are great stylists and know their customers well. I always find it a lovely atmosphere, I get 5 * treatment every time I go. Joshua (creative director/owner) is a true pro he knows exactly what his customers want, he is very creative with my long hair and he does great Hair Up for weddings. I'm looking forward to going again soon especially as they are now offering the £18 express blow dry. The salon looks and feels great and I highly recommend it anyone who is looking for The West End salon experience but without having to pay those sort of prices.

My mother treated me to a hair cut and blow dry at Joshua Altback for my 21st birthday party and I was so pleased with how my hair looked. Dror did it and he was charming, my hair was styled and put up ready for my 21st party and it looked great. I had lots of compliments all night. Definitely will go back!

I have been desperate to have hair straightening for years but never plucked up the courage as you do hear some bad stories. I don't live far from Joshua Altback so I booked as a birthday treat and took the plunge, I have to say I am over the moon with my new long blonde straight hair. It looks amazing and feels great. It's easy to wash and dry. I have no frizz and my hair looks in brilliant condition. I'm definitely going back when I need the treatment re-done. Plus the staff were so nice because I'm a nervous customer!

I just wanted to write something nice about my experience at the Joshua Altback salon. After moving to the area and having my hair done in the west end for many years, I wanted to try something local. After reviewing all the local salons in St Johns Wood, I decided to try this salon out as they always looked busy when I walk past. I booked in with Joshua (owner) for a hair cut as it had not been cut for a while and I needed some advise on what styles would suit me. The salon looked really contemporary, smart and professional. Joshua recommended that I had a change and went a little shorter than usual with lots of layers and a sweeping fringe. I've never had anyone before thats cut my hair as well as he did. He's a real perfectionist! The shape suits me perfectly and its really easy for me to manage now. Im also going back next week to have my colour done. All in all a great experience and would recommend this salon.

Have used Josh for years and if you've got curly hair, the man is a genius. The place isn't exactly spa-like luxury, but it's modestly priced given the location and Josh does a fantastic cut.

The worst haircut I've had in my life. French lady hairdresser did everything but everything I told her NOT to. It is going to take a year probably for my long hair to grow and to recover, until then I'll be wearing a pony tail...Avoid the place!
