Basics Hairdressers

Couldn't agree more with previous 4 reviews. Also bought the KGB deal. Only downside was crossed wires with appointment time but this wasn't a huge problem and I was happy to wait. Having taken a photo into another salon in November of the style I wanted, I left instead with a style the hairdresser clearly thought I should have instead! Johnny has been hairdressing for long time; he was the ultimate professional, genuinely friendly (as were his staff and other customers!) and his hair dressing skills are very impressive! He did exactly what I wanted and I love my new hair! I was glad about Daiva's hint regarding the lack of hair washing facilities so didn't find this a problem - just made sure I had clean hair. Although I got this deal through KGB, I understand Johnny's usual prices are extremely reasonable, particularly for London, and I would rather pay a reasonable price to go to this small salon, with no wash basins and come out with a fantastic haircut, than pay over the odds for a bigger salon with wash basins and a cup of tea and leave disatisfied with my hair. I have been looking for a reasonably priced hairdresser I am happy with in London for a very long time to no avail, but I will definitely be returning to Basics. They are moving premises to a salon very close by soon, and I look forward to going there too. Thanks Johnny!

I visited the Basics salon for the first time just recently after buying a voucher from kgb deals (and first reading a couple of reviews about Jonny for the piece of mind just before purchasing the voucher) and was not disappointed at all! The only thing that was lacking for me was the very small premises and no head washing amenities, but otherwise, the service was very warm, welcome and professional, and, most importantly, I was really happy with the result and love my haircut.You know how worrying it can be going to a new hairdresser (especially for ladies) but I love what Jonny did to my hair and will definitely be coming back!

Jonny at Basics has been cutting my hair for a while. Last night he suggested and did cut all my long hair short, I absolutely love it, it's smashing! Very clever boy!
Alot of men get haircuts there, so a good place to meet guys, girls!!!

I also agree with the previous comment, always good service and very reliable can't comment on the female haircuts, but for males very good value for money.

This is a real gem amongst hairdressers, very good cuts, personable service and value for money for ladies and gents, no appointment necessary, just turn up. Very close to Liv St Station.
