Hair Dezign

Shocking this place is even allowed to operate as a hairdresser. The guy who was cutting was arrogant and sexist. Had no regard for what I wanted. Overpriced and salon was very dirty.

After years with a salon on Kensington High Street I tried Hair Dezigns and went in looking old and came out looking young and fashionable. I wouldn't have my hair cut by anyone other than Adam ever again. He is a genius. His crew get your colours just right and the results are amazing.

Adam and his staff are the kindest people you would wish to meet.
The level of professionalism outstrips Vidal Sassoon by a country mile.
I cant rate them highly enough.
Before considering visiting your usual hairdresser, I recommend giving Adam and his team a look.

I'd like to say that i dont agree with the first comment as i have been going to hair dezigns for over 6 years now. They are the best at what they do from colour to blow-dry. You only need to try their blowdry once to see for yourself. The staff are very friendly and i would like to point out that celebrities do go there as i see a few familiar faces all the time, including simon cowell, holly branson, christine bleakley and kate moss.

The quatar royal family are also regular visitors. It is salon run by Adam (manager) who is always there and gives his best advice.

The owner and his staff should not argue in front of their customers and constantly give each dirty looks. The amount of money you have to pay to have your hair done there you should at least be offered a drink and not treated like you can't wait to get out. Far too expensive for what you get and definitely not worth recommending. After all they are not celebrity stylists but think they are. For example no hair wash and hair put up with a few pins taking all of 10 minutes the cost is £60.

After having a nightmare with my hair colour since December 2010 and going to 4 different hairdressers in London, one of which a very expensive celebrity hairdresser, I was close to tears as they each continued to give me orange, copper, ginger highlights (which I did NOT want, I wanted a brown base with beige coloured highlights like Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez). The last one I went to made my hair black! I am half English and half middle eastern, so my kind of hair needs a different approach.

I stumbled across Hair Dezigns in Holland Park and thought I'd give them a try as I live around the corner and often drove past. I just walked in and was seen by the manager, Adam, who told me the options. As he is Turkish, he totally understood what to do with my hair. Off we went, albeit me a little nervous due to my recent hair nightmares.

Finally I was blow dried and saw that I had the colour that I wanted and not a copper coloured highlight in sight!

I actually hugged him I was so happy! He is now officially my new hairdresser.

For an all over tint (to cover the orange highlights), highlights, a technique to make the ends a little lighter (for a natural look), and a blow dry it came to £175. A little pricey but for me it was worth it. Altogether, a great place, really lovely friendly staff and I couldn't be happier.
