Very prompt attention from pleasant and competent staff followed by a very thorough examination of my eyes by Mr Rose, post cataract operation, which had been very successful. I would highly recommend, and am going to persuade my family to go to Mr Rose who had been recommended to me by a friend of long standing.

I had a wonderful eye examination at John Rose Eyecare in Kingston Upon Thames.
A truly bespoke Service the kind you don't get at your run of the mill high street types.
John & his staff know so much more than just prescriptions and it's a complete eye health MOT :)
I came away with 2 lovely pairs of Lindberg Frames & am overwhelmed by their quality too.
Highly recommend this small lovely practice & will be a returning customer.

At the end of Dec 2010, we had an appointment for a 'behavioural optometry' and 'colorimetry' assessment of our dislexic child at Rohn Rose's in Kingston. Our's was the first appointment of the day and the consultation started by us waiting for 15 minutes in the cold drizzle outside the shop as there was no one there at the time of the appointment. Eventually Mr Rose arrived and let us in. When the shop assistant in charge of opening the premises arrived a little later, there was no apology. The examination rooms are small and it was not possble for both of us parents to be present during the tests/consulttaion which were completed by Mr Rose one of his assistants (separately). The tests took about 2.5 hours in total during which one of us parents had to either sit in the freezing shop (the front door does not shut properly and there was a cold draft by the waiting/seating area) or go for a walkabout in Kingston. The tests came in at £350 and were supposed to include a detailled report of the findings. However, we did not receive this report until 3 MONTHS after the consultation, at the end of March 2011, and only after many phone calls to chase Mr Rose and other staff in his shop.

I agree with previous post. I changed to John Rose Eye Care about 2 1/2 years ago and have found them thorough and attentive with a good eye for detail (no pun intended). Far superior service to the larger corporate opticians.

I have been using John Rose Opticians for about eight years and quite frankly they are the best opticians I have ever used. As well as being extremely professional and efficient, they are polite and friendly at all times. It never ceases to amaze me how they not only remember my name but what I do and where I live and it is small personal touches like this which stand out in any kind of customer service. I started going to this opticians on a recommendation and they were convenient to where I worked, even though the location is no longer convenient for me I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else for my eyecare.
