Visited London for a meeting nr Shoreditch and decided to get a haircut as I was beginning to look like a mad professor. popped into NV as it was the first Barbers I came across (as opposed to "hairderessers")
Expected a basic cut (no 1 all over) got a cut, ear and eyebrow trim, hair washed, then face covered with hot towel, then an arm and hand massage, neck and shoulder massage, hair trimmed again to catch any that escaped the first time then face massaged with moistouriser. Heavenly.
Cost £17 - I gave the guy an £8 tip (£25 total)
If I visit London I'm going back for another cu

I have used NV for the last few years and think they are awesome.
The hair-cuts are pretty good, but the entertainment value is nothing less that spectacular.
Basically, a huge guy called Sal (of Cypriote decent) spends his day listening (and humouring) a cockney called Harry, who revels in discussing every topic known to man.
Harry seems to knows everything there is about Football, the UK Banking System and Economy, and girls. Listening to his pearls of wisdom and (Sal's Humorous responses) help the 30min fly by.
Shame they got rid of the small Polish/Turkish guy that swept the floor. Watching him argue with Harry was great.
All in all, NV are great value for money.

N.V are by far the best barbers in the area. Tried many different barbers for years and was never happy until I walked in N.V 6 years ago. Very modern methods and excellent hair products on sale. Staff always very friendly.

Best wet towel shave in London and a bargain at £8. Hair cuts not so great and don't expect any fancy treatment from the Turkish staff!
