Great, friendly barbers and a good haircut but their opening times are too variable. Often they are not open at times advertised and there are long queues as there is often only 1 barber working at busy times.
A bit of better organisation and planning wouldn't go amiss. Other than that it's an asset!
Friendly banter, decent clipper cut, and a free beer is always a nice! Been going for years - only down-side is there's sometimes a bit of a queue at busy times - friday or saturday evenings.
I went in asking for the advertised machine cut for £10.The barber then proceeded to do a scissor cut. I reminded him again that I only wanted a machine cut. Apparently he was just using the scissors as he is more comfortable using those than the machine, but assured me that I would only be charged the agreed £10. When it came to the payment he refused to honour his promise, charging me £18 for a scissor cut; nearly double the price for a cut I did not want!
Esquire promise good value cuts then do not deliver as the barber is too incompetent to provide the service advertised!

free beer while you wait, barbers are very professional, never seen a better value haircut for a tenner. Mr Topps could learn a thing or two from these guys.

Fantastic location, the staff all seem friendly enough. Happy to banter and deliver the exact cut you want. Plus you will more than likely be treated to a nice cold beer while its all done! Standard bang for your buck, not overly cheap but it doesnt seem too dear either. This is definitely a barber I recommend and a safe choice for newbies.
