Tranquility

I have also been going here since their time in Abbeville Rd and I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience/treatment so the negative log suprises me so much so I am writing this review (something I never do). The staff are always very friendly and the treatments I have (facial, massage, waxing, st tropez, manicure) have always been fantastic. Definately give it a go. Great salon.

The staff at tranquility are extremely attentive and professional and the treatments are always of the highest quality - I especailly recommend the hour long facial. I wouldn't go anywhere else for laser treatment and waxing, as I always feel thoroughly well rewarded as a customer.

I have been visiting Tranquillity for over 6 years now and have been using them since the days that they were located in Abbeville Road. I cannot fault the service that I get. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I tend to use Nisha for my waxing because she is fast and I always have a good gossip whilst she's waxing. As with the post below I totally disagree with the comment about the staff whispering about her skin. I have always found the staff incredibly professional and discreet. Maybe it would have been worth mentioning it at the time? It could have been that they were indeed discussing your skin and one beautician was asking advice of another as to which products to recommend? Or maybe they were discussing something else completely about their business perhaps and didn't want the customers to over here? Anyway I have now moved to Guildford and still drive a 50 mile round trip to go to this salon every month as I am 100% happy with the level of service I receive just hope one day that they open a salon closer to me!

I just totally disagree with that review, i have been going to Tranquillity for the past ten years and all i got was good service and they are very professional and very efficient.
Maybe they were whispering because they didn't disturb your treatment and i think paranoia is the key here...

I think the staff need a lesson or two in professionalism. Failing that, they should realise just how paper thin their walls are. I went to have a facial not too long ago, and I am pretty sure that the woman giving me my facial was whispering about me as soon as she left the room during my "resting" phase. Paranoia, you might say, but the real give-away was when she started talking at normal volume about something else, and there were no other clients in the salon at the time... I've not got the best of skin, which in the first place I feel self-conscious about, walking into a place like this - but I think if you're paying someone £1 a minute to basically rub things on it, they should behave with a touch more sensitivity.

On the plus side, I was given lots of samples to use in-between visits, but given my experience I don't think I will be returning.

I disagree with the above poster. I have been going there since January 2009 and have had consistently excellent service. The staff are professional, friendly and super good at their jobs! I have recommended them to many friends in the area and will continue to do so.
