Shanghai Tang

I recently bought a couple of jackets and a cotton/linen shirt and was thoroughly impressed with the gracious and high class service overall. The assistants were all charming, and also very good-looking. The tailoring service was not only of a superb quality but came with obvious talent and professionalism! I am now seriously thinking of asking the tailoring consultant to design a kimono style dress for my wife. We were also very impressed with the antique looking trunks, expensive but worth every penny! My family will certainly be back! The only negative point was that when we visited the first time the A/C was not working, but it was back in action last week when I returned for a pick up.

I love Shanghai Tang items, however their customer service leaves much to be desired. Recently I purchased several items in the London store, and as soon as I returned home one item proved to be defective (it is an expensive bag). I have since sent Shanghai Tang three emails and left 'phone messages. I have not received a single reply. It is not easy for me to reach any Shanghai Tang shop. Despite being a loyal customer for many years now, I will no longer shop at Shanghai Tang. Customer service counts for so much.
Make sure you check everything carefully before you purchase.
