Zana

This is my favourite shop in London, certainly England, maybe the world. Zana has such an eye for fabric, turns it into gorgeous dresses, jackets shawls, and picks out classy and beautiful accessories. Smart leather gloves are keeping me warm tis winter and a black and red devoré jacket is my dressing-up favourite. Zana is friendly, welcoming, reasonably priced and such a relief from the high street. An oasis of beauty and delight!

I've just been banned from ever zana, and was told before i left, "Some people are meant to just shop on the high street, and you are one of them!".
Having grown up in hampstead and being a vintage and antiques trader, specialising in ladies fashion, this was too ridiculous an attempt to insult, for me to take notice. What I do not appreciate however, is being made to feel as though I were so in the wrong... an unwelcome presence, banned from ever bringing custom to the shop again... a location that my mother and I have perused and bought from on and off for nearly forty years.
My crime? Having purchased a damaged dress. I hadn't noticed at the time but when I tried the dress on at home I noticed a severe hole on the seam, with a little sticker next to it, which suggested that the damage had in fact been flagged already. I took it back, noticed two other tears, had to wait for 30 mins for zana to eventually give me a 5er back (begrudgingly) and banning me. Is that ev

I've just been at the Dalai Lama's conference in LA and I wore one of Zana's gorgeous blue garments (cape? jacket?) over a long grey dress. On Day 1 a Nobel Laureate said she liked it. I wore it again (with a skirt and top) on Day 2 and her nephew said he'd like to buy it for his aunt. That night I tussled with my conscience and thought "I must practise non-attatchment" so on Day 3 I wore a different jacket and gave Zana's to her. She was thrilled and it was a pleasure to see her face light up.

I visit London twice a year, and twice a year, I make sure to buy everything that Zana has on display. She's marvelous, talented and quite savvy, and always knows what works for me. I live in the States and consistently get raves on everything I wear that Zana has made. It's like having a custom designer just for me.

Fantastic place for scarves, accessories, jewellery and clothing. Zana has great taste and she helps you make the right choice for your size and colouring. A must if you are in Hampstead.

This is one of my favourite shops. I have known it for years now and there is always something new to see. Great fine quality scarves, hand made jackets, bolerros, great jewellery in silver and semiprecious gems. Zana is such a lovely lady with a big bright smile. Always a pleasure to visit.

This place is a gem and Jena makes most of the clothes herself and will make you a jacket out of scraf if you see a scarf in the shop you like

What a find! Lovely lady in a small shop with her sewing machine.Gorgeous scarves and jewellery. I chose a scarf I liked and she sat at her machine and made it in to a bolero jacket for me!!! Service with a smile too. I shall be back.
