I don't shop in American Apparel that often because I find it a little too dear for what it actually is. However, it served me well when I was looking for a pair of sunglasses recently. Vintage frames that look like a one-off and considering the prices of their clothes, they were a bargain too.
I also bought a pair of socks from them two years ago - still going strong and spongy so there must be something about their accessories!
American Apparel sells fantastic fashion basics, with great cut, fit and colour. All garments are sweat shop free, produced in LA by workers with proper pay, rights and benefits. A non smoking area is provided.
