Great shop for baking and what not however ive never had such disgusting customer service! I returned a cake tin that I hired and the lady spoke to me like I was a child. Telling me that I hadnt washed the tin. Well excuse me but I had infact cleaned it twice and I dont expect an adult to talk to other adult with the tone and attitude she did. Will NEVER return there. I will spread the word of their non existent customer service! Disgraceful
Rude, unhelpful and extremely judgmental! As a professional caterer and cake maker I like to think I know a little about my profession but being asked "you sure you know what your doing with that" isnt the type of thing I expect to be asked when buying a pot of Tylo powder!
I now buy most of my equipment online and for those emergency days when I run out of black colouring I know I can nip down to hobby craft! Aladins cave but run by monsters!!!!!
Twins has everything you would need for cake baking but don't expect a smile or any help!! They are rude and can just about grunt rather than speak. Don't bother wasting you breath to ask a question. Great shop poor staff. So I won't be going anymore as I dread visiting the miserable staff!!
A shop full to bursting point with excellent tools and ingredients and beautiful cakes if you're looking for ideas. But the years that both me and my mum have been shopping I have yet to see a smile or a polite word. The sad thing is, is that every customer agrees. I've been spoken to rudely when asking for advice, left waiting whilst they chat at the till and have left generally grumpy after each visit! It's such a nightmare that I exhaust all other cake suppliers before giving in and visiting. However, they know what they’re doing and would recommend to anyone who's looking for good supp
2 stars could be easily improved.
This shop has EVERYTHING most things reasonably priced too BUT the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Rude unfriendly staff, even when you are a long term customer it gets no better. Luckily the things they sell are in high demand.
Such a shame because it's a good shop but has a terrible reputation amongst EVERY customer I've ever spoken to!
Luckily for this shop they have a lot of. People locally that need the products they sell.
They have so much in the shop there is no doubt it's a great shop BUT as everyone else has said the attitude of the staff stinks.
I would only recommend to someone who had nowhere else to go.
The shop needs a complete refit to make everything more appealing.
I agree with other reviewers. My daughter who is only 13 years has started a small business making and selling cakes to family and friends and we went to the shop to get some equipment and advice. The staff were knowledgable but it felt like 'pulling teeth' to get advice or information regarding specifc products. The shop itself is a fantastic resource - a definate one stop shop and we will visit again!

I find that the store is well stocked with everything you could want for your cake making, but I do find that the staff are a bit straight face, at times verging on not very friendly, just doing their job, could do with working on their customer service techniques.

I like Twins Wedding Shop. It is well equiped with all the tools necessary for cakers, good customer service and reasonably priced products. However, they need to review their "no return" policy as this could discourage customers.

I would suggest that they a) have friendlier staff who are willing to help the more amature cake bakers and not look down on them.
b) they have one person giving advise and helpful hints and tips
c) they have a better returns policy for advise wrongly given.
I would not recommend this shop at al
The shop is definitely well equipped. However, this is spoilt by the rather poor customer service. I think that because the shop is so popular, the staff have got a bit 'too big for their boots' and the simple basics of customer service have been lost such as general courtesy. It's a real shame!
This is an Aladdin’s Cave for all levels of cake making and decorating. They have the most wonderful ideas and beautiful accessories for your cakes or craft projects. The ladies are very experienced and extremely helpful.
