Emailed to enquire regarding an overhaul of my long case clock.
Recieved a prompt reply saying they could do this for me. Asked twice by email and once by text for a rough estimate. At this point all comunication ceased. poor service

Richard has been looking after our long case cocks, old watches etc for many years. He is immensely knowledgeable, and very obliging. His charges are reasonable. It's great to have such a consummate expert available when you need one

I've tried this place twice, and it's been closed both times. First time, I thought they closed at 5, but a notice on the front says they close at 4. OK, so I tried again this morning. Their advertised opening time is 10, but there was a handwritten notice on the metal grille saying 'open at 1030'. I arrived 1024, so I waited ... and waited. By 1032 no-one had turned up. I banged on the metal grille about three times but no response. Very frustrated at the waste of my time.

Richard Wainwright has been maintaining our long case clock for about thirty years with house calls. He is most ingenious at dealing with every problem and extremely obliging.

My watch had only recently been fitted with a battery (in Borough) and had stopped working. I thought I would take it here to see if the battery was dud or whether I'd need a new watch. The battery was fine, but it was the wrong size. It's now working fine. Courteous service. Recommended.

The clock shop was very helpful and also provided free collection and deleivery with my clock repair. It has now been a year and half and my clock is runnign as good as new.
