Sewing Rooms

This review is based on my first visit to the shop to enquire about beginner sewing classes. I'm sure the products and services they offer are very good, but their customer service was inadequate.

I went in yesterday and the lady who talked to me seemed to be misinformed and couldn't answer simple questions on the pricing of the class. She interrupted me several times when I tried to tell her what I needed and was pushy. I left feeling confused and not very welcome to return as a beginner after talking to her. I certainly won't be spending my money with them.

Really friendly staff and a great positive atmosphere. Great place to go if you're after advice on sewing or knitting projects and they sell loads of haberdashery and wool supplies too. You can also buy sewing machines there!
They run sewing clubs and one days courses and you can also have a one to one if you're a total beginner and want some guidance of where to start.
A friend has used them for alterations and they also make evening/bridal wear.
They are open late on several evenings and I've always found they are very accomodating if you have specific requests.
Well worth a visit.
