I've been buying shoes and boots here for years. I've always found the Manager/Owner to be great to deal with. Witty banter and great products keeps me coming back. In fact I'll be going back this week to get some more boots

A lot of people here said this guy is pushy. I say it's just a matter of perspective. This guy is making these jackets so I think he has bit more authority to present them. This guy put 8 different jackets on my back to see what I like. No kissa$$ smiles no faking, just straight opinions and straight to the cash register, that works for me. On the other hand, we couldn't find the combination of style and matterial so he made a new jacket over the weekend so I can take it before I go home. Now that is something you won't find easily. Anyway, like him or hate him, the jackets are AMAZING!

I ordered a jacket for me by TomCat Leather. I chose the Leather and the stile of the jacket in the store. After two weeks I received the package with the jacket and was really shocked!!! The style was not as agreed and the jacket was cut totally wrong. The leather is of poor quality. Any backyard cutter can do better!

I ordered a leather jacket to be made for my husband, picked out the style and type of soft leather I wanted. I strongly and clearly objected to the type the owner was trying to push on us very strongly. Lo and behold when my husband picked up the jacket, it had been made in the leather the owner wanted. It looked cheap, shiny and tacky instead of soft and luxurious, and I was upset that he tried to hoodwink us in this way. Be aware! I agree I found the owner very rude, and £400 down the drain too.

Living in HK where it has suddenly got extremely cold, I just dusted off my coat I bought from Tomcat Leather in 1997!
Beautiful calf skin custom made WW1 German flying trench coat. Still looks like the day I bought it, seems and workmanship impressive.
Thanks Tomcat Leather for a piece of clothing that's still going strong after nearly 20 years.

Just bought my first proper decent leather jacket today from Tomcat - at last I found the perfect jacket I have been looking for. The mens Leather Jackets are of great modern design and made of real quality. The shop owner was very lively, but I found him extremely friendly and helpful.. I think his passion is what some people might get confused with being pushy. The jackets are not cheap but I now have exactly the style I have been wanting for ages but couldn't find it. Recommended to take a look.... :-)

I went into the shop accidentally. I agree with the comments that the salesperson was big pushy. However, he helped me to find the most wonderful boots! For days and days, i have been wondering to find comfortable yet stylish boots. This place had really wonderful variety of leather boots and they were unique. So i highly recommend this place.

Have just bought a great pair of boots from this shop last week. I agree with the other reviewers that the owner does try the hard sell but surely you're big enough to walk away?? I did, even though I wanted to buy the gilet and bag he offered to make for me.

I visited this shop last summer/autumn and found the jackets to be good. However, what put me off buying from this store was the managers' bullying not only of his customers, but his staff. I was helped by a polite, unobtrusive shop girl who made buying things easy and pleasant. I then overheard her being criticised by the owner to make a sale rather than being a pushover. The owner then tried to force me into buying something I did not really want before I finally made my escape. Just browsing is evidently not an option in this shop...

They should learn that this kind of attitude to sales is not ideal; just because somebody does not step into a shop does not mean they -have- to buy something!! I found the owner's idea of "customer service" to be so in-my-face it was almost terrifying. Perhaps the owner should take a leaf out of the shop girl's book instead..!

Tom Cat is a in a great location within the cobbled streets of Covent Garden. Working locally I frequent the shop on a regular basis to find the sales assistants too forceful and pushy for my liking. The product looks lovely but is spoilt by the sales assistants’ pushy nature. Instead of a quaint Covent Garden store I feel I am being chased out the store by a market trader in Asia who had finally given into my bartering! They give off the impression each sale is keeping their store afloat. Please relax Tom Cat shopping is meant to be a pleasant experience.

Stumbled across Tomcat on a trip to London and found this shop to be very exciting, so many gorgeous coats, I went in for my friend to try one on and the three of us all ended up with fabulous purchases, the coats were all altered to fit perfectly. Can't wait to go back down for my Christmas prezzie, have something in mind already. Thank you for a wonderful service.

I stumbled on Tomcat Leather by accident on our way to the Theatre on Saturday night.
I saw the perfect hat went in tried it on and bought it. I joked with the owner
and he was accomodating and very pleasant. I wish I'd had more time to look at the leather goods. Lovely experience and love my hat.
