Oxfam is a development, advocacy, and relief agency working to put an end to poverty worldwide. In partnership with local groups, they work with poor people to help them help themselves. The Oxfam shops sell second-hand clothes, books and bric-a-brac as well as trade fair goods to help raise money for the charity.

Some good finds to be had here, though sometimes a bit overpriced for a second-hand book shop. As with many shops, let down by the staff - at my visit there this week, the girl serving managed to go through the whole transaction without saying one word to me, even to tell me the price - don't expect service with a smile!
