In the past year I have twice tried to use Timpson in S Ken Tube:
1. they repaired a pair of good loafers so badly that the soles came off within a week, and then refused to repair them when I took them in again unless I paid again.
2. I asked how much to get my watch battery changed, (a simple battery watch that takes 3 minutes) and they replied £55 with the excuse that there is an obbligatory water proof testing, even if I don't ever take it into the water. I then found a local watch man who did it for £4 and no B.S.
They're expensive, insolent and clearly not very good at what they do. On top of this they're part of a large chain, not a local shop like they try to make themselves out to be.

The guys at this shop in south ken rescued my favourite £150 Diesel shoes, turning them from tatty to AS NEW for £15. Staff were very friendly and service excellent.

Timpsons is extremely expensive. I usually go to the South Kensington branch but have changed to another shoe repair business in the same area and better quality work at half the price.

Had a minor problem with my watch and passed by Timpsons South Kensington on way to tube. The cost was a little high, but the service was excellent and the guys went out of his way to make sure I was well satisfied. I recommend. Thanks Craig!
