I used to go to this dry cleaners until I realised that the owner is a crook. I rented a flat from him above his shop and he witheld my deposit of £800 after I moved despite assuring me on numerous occasions that he would pay it to me. I went to his shop every day for 2 weeks and every day he would say 'my checkbook is at home' or 'come back tuesday'. I ended up having to take out a loan to pay for the deposit on my next rental flat.

I've never been so disgusted at the way he treated me and out of principle have never set foot in his shop ever since. I still live in the area (it was about 4 years ago that he ripped me off) and have seen him being chased for money by other tennants.

I never had any cause for complaint on the dry cleaning, although it is expensive for what it is.

The dry cleaners up the road (Esquire) offer a better service, and haven't taken anyone for £800 (as far as I know).
