Washing machine broke down, we emailed them expecting them to get back to us within 24-48 hours. They didn't get back to us until the following Friday a whole week has passed for us without a washing machine and 4 days after we emailed them. Left a voicemail saying i'm happy to buy my own washing machine. This was 4 days after we emailed them as we knew they would be closed over the weekend. They didn't even get in touch with the landlord until that a week later. The director Clifford Ledger decided to call us and have a go at my partner even though I left him a voicemail with 2 numbers to get back to me on, and he proceeded to verbally abuse her, and shouting at her because I left a voicemail with a solution where I was happy to go out of my own pocket to find a quick solution, he then proceeded to try to bully like I can't do anything without them and that he can hold this repair at RANSOM if he wants to. apparently health and safety. Told me I can't buy my own washing machine???

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Melville has shut up shop and also removed all entries from its selling site with Zoopla. The office phone has been shut down, and the only means of communication is via a generic email address. This is useless for elderly residents who cannot use a computer or smart phone. Unfortunately even when sent emails or letters there is no response. There is also no emergency phone number for any of the blocks of flats that they manage. Some blocks of flats have had their insurance expire without any communication about renewing policies. Indeed there has been no communication at all about the pandemic, however there was a demand for ground rent!!
