Re: T Alena Brett, Cecil Court: I would have thought abusing customers for browsing through the very merchandise you are offering for sale would be a very odd sales technique.My wife and I were being very gentle with the prints she puts outside her shop (which I can only assume is for the purpose of erm...customer browsing) only to be met with a terse rebuke about how to handle them. As a self respecting person I was ready to defend myself and move on to look elsewhere but she continued her tirade by spouting vitriol about the Waterstone's bag I was carrying! It's such a shame as I love Cecil Court and was very close to parting with £100 to buy some of her marvellous prints. Although quite ammusing this episode soured our mood. We went around the corner and sat in St Martins-in-the-field, to listen to a Carol rehearsal where our faith in human nature was promptly restored. A warning to Cecil Court shoppers, Ebeneezer Scrooge is alive and well in female form. Browse if you dare.
