This is an AMAZING bookshop. The staff really care about the books they are selling and it shows in their enthusiasm and their knowledge. The staff recommends are really inspiring and definitely not run of the mill! The '100 greatest books of all time' section is fantastic. There are so many books in it I love, and so many I want to buy! The money off titles at the front are a bit pedestrian, but I was told by one of the booksellers that these titles are picked by head office, while all the other books are picked by the staff themselves. I was truly impressed that all the booksellers had this power. That must be why they knew so much about the books..long may it last! The fiction section was really authoritative, and the art section was great. The history, music and film sections were great as was the sport section (especially if you are a Chelsea fan)
This shop is the best place to spend a few free hours (and a few spare pounds!!)
Even though Amazon is cheaper, it doesn't hold a candle to the experience you get in a real bookshop like Borders in Fulham!!!

Fulham Borders is clearly staffed by very dedicated and opinionated booksellers who really want the book buying public to buy quality! The staff pick section is really inspiring. Particularly strong sections are fiction, history, music, art and cinema, although there is a good range of all books. Most important is the knowledgeable staff. If the bookseller doesn't know the book, they will find someone else who does.
