Treadwell's Books

Treadwells was founded in 2003 with the aim of giving London a place for people interested in Western esotericism and worldwide paganism. Our books are eclectic and we are proud of this fact. We cover the quirky aspects of western culture as well as magic; novels, psychology and travel as well as grimoires, spell books and alchemy texts. We have Dickens as well as Crowley, Austen as well as Nostradamus.

In our main subjects, pagan religions and magic, we have some of the best works available; this is our speciality and our staff are able to offer informed advice.

We have two in house traditional, skilled and experienced tarot readers available every day from 12 pm to 7 pm.

By night we offer lectures, book launches and soirees. Our talks are given by invited researchers as well as by contemporary pagan magicians and we aim to build bridges between scholars and practitioners, between academic learning and lived experience.
