Ben Thomson's Cycleworx

For the second time in a year I have taken my bike in with minor problems. They were fixed with a smile and very efficiently, with no charge. Some advice thrown in too. I would highly recommend this shop.

Terrible service. The guy forgot to mention that there is a £65 service charge and wanted £90.99 for changing a break on my Pendleton I didn’t agree to that quote he said it’s already apart so he will better finish it

Just had my bike's power train overhauled. Very good job, so I am now happy again. Ben "walks the extra mile".

Just bought a used bike and had some concerns. I’d heard good things about this place plus it’s on the way back from work so popped in this evening.
They were really friendly and despite working on jobs they answered my questions, allayed my fears, tweaked the gears, raised the seat and gave tips on cleats and gear changing!
Brilliant, would definitely recommend them.

Being a local resident for over 30 years I have always been supportive of local business even when larger named businesses have moved into the local area. Having recently acquired a new bike in need of some improvement I took it into the shop. I was shocked at the persona of the staff at increasing prices as best as they could and not willing to complete basic maintenance at the request of a customer. The bike was also left within the shop for close to a week before I had to arrive to pay for an expected service to find out it was not complete and no effort had been made to inform additional parts would be required. I would recconmend that the staff be:
more wary of local customers
Respect all potential cycles
Not insult the cycles brought in
Respond to clients promptly
Develop a better customer approach

I was on my way to the petrol station to pump up my bike tyre when I saw the bike shop. I popped in to see if they could help me and they did for no charge, as well as tightening something else that needed doing on the bike. Very friendly guys. Thanks heaps

Have popped into the shop a couple of times for small things and also for the odd helping hand, e.g. loosening pedals. Ben has always been really friendly and happy to help. Didn't even charge for the loosening of pedals - a really nice bloke! Highly recommended.

Good shop, I took my bike in after two other shops failed to identify the issues with my gears. Now it's the only shop I use.

I found this guy from another online board and based on those reviews, went to check it out. He has varied stock and have to agree with another reviewer, knows more about bikes than anyone I've come across before. His staff were very friendly and I found his prices extremely fair. The quality of work is the highest I've seen. Nice to support the smaller businesses as well. I now only take all of my bikes to this shop.

Went here on a recommendation and was not let down. This guy is excellent. Never met a mechanic who knows more about bikes than this guy. Good stock too. Worth the trip to Southfields.
