I bought a Brompton folding bike from this shop and so wish I hadn't. I was told to come back at the weekend to pick it up as it would need a pre-sales service check before being handed over. I picked it up and it was nothing but trouble there on in. Whoever did the service must have been wearing boxing gloves. The gears became stuck after a couple of miles and the lever broke off, the carrier bag bracket had been screwed on cross threaded so was loose and useless. The shop denied all responsibility and wanted to charge me for replacing the gear lever and bracket! Finally they replaced the bike when I took in a copy of the Sales of Goods Act. The replacement wasn't even oiled so creaked as I cycled it home to find my oil can.This shop is all about turnover and little about customer service. I seriously think the owners would switch tomorrow to selling bake beans if they thought they could make more profit.
