Fabulous bike shop, wealth of experience, decent prices. If you have an older bike, speak to these guys first, chances are they'll carry the spares 'in stock' and can tackle some difficult work other shops aren't equiped to handle.

What an excellent bike shop. The two guys love their jobs and they are both expert and speddy and take a great pride in doing their job and giving real value for money.
It's like mates rates for everyone 27/7/365 :-)

Lovely shop run by two lovely senior gentlemen who obviously have years of experience and love their job. I first popped in on passing as my gears were playing up and he tweaked them for free! I then went back for a service add the breaks were gone etc. The prices are good. They fully serviced my bike in 3 hours. Came back all shiny and new. They'd even gone to the trouble to make me a little bracket to put my light on the right side.

If you have an older bike and need something doing to it, this is the place. I have just had my 27x1 1/4 inch rear wheel beautifully rebuilt with a new set of bearings and a respaced axle (for a 1970 hub!) thrown in. There is another AW cycles that does mail order - it's certainly not this 1950's time-warp shop. Visit now, as once it's gone you will never see the like.

I had my high-end mountain bike serviced here, which included cable replacement. The staff were friendly and turnaround was good. However there were significant errors made with the gear set-up that had to be rectified by another shop. For high-spec repairs/service look elsewhere.

You will love this bikeshop, especially if, like me, you are a fan of old steel bikes. It's like stepping back in time. Richard and Ted have decades of experience, true expertise, and even more importantly a real love of bikes. The workshop is a time-warp, with frame-building equipment, difficult-to-find parts, and even a stove for enameling tandems! For a very reasonable charge, and with a six-hour turnaround, they happily took on the immensely awkward job of moving stuck components from my old to my new 531 frame. High Street shops like Evans would have taken weeks and charged the earth; that's if they'd do it at all. Perfect accomplices for that fixie conversion. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We have taken a number of old run down tired bikes in to this shop over the years and we have always found the service to be excellent. We do not feel the owner tries to over price the repairs and his advice has always been reliable and not too pushy. The service is always done in good time and at a reasonable price. There is nothing they cant do with an old bike.......we will always be coming back here.

I've been to a number of cycle shop in London but this is by far the best! I spent most of an afternoon cycling around trying to get a simple component for my lights ,everywhere i went they tried to sell me a completely new plastic wrapped bracket at a criminal price, then I came across A W cycles and got exactly what i needed first time at an excellent price. Please save your self a lot time and money and go here first! Excellent service at a really great price! 10 out of 10

I used this cycle shop back in 2006 to purchased a 21 speed atb. The gent in the shop was helpful without being pushy and knew what he was talking about when it came to cycles. He kept to me budget range and was willing to let me try various bikes for size & style. Will be visiting this shop in the near future as some little sh*t heads have just stolen my bike.
