I started working on Great Portland Street 4 years ago and discovered this shop immediately. I've been keeping fish for 13 years now and find the staff very knowledgeable. Yesterday I needed some tubing to make a tank divider. I looked at a clear one which was far too long and expensive. I was advised to get the green tubing cut to the right lenght I needed. I told the shop assistant that this is my favourite aquatic centre and he said the most amazing thing. He said we don't just sell it we live it.

Good service and staff are friendly. But beware you are responsible for examing and checking any fish you buy for any problems as they do not accept any returns. Also staff did not know how long or even if the fish they sell are quarantined so if fish development any problems after purchase you are left with an ill or dead fish and no refund. A guarantee period for at least two week or a month would be helpful and give peace of mind. So beware if you are in any doubt about any fish, then do not buy.

I bought my marine aquarium from ADC and also my Discus tank. The installation was really quick and efficient. The guys in this shop are very helpful and knowledgable. I go there almost every other week and am always welcome. Greg is fantastic in the freshwater dept and so is Mahbub in the marine dept! The store is always stocked with a great variety of exotic fish and corals. And these guys really know their stuff! You must try visiting this shop! I must also mention Mariano and Dovi in the Marine section. They are always there to help with advise. Extremely kind and helpful!

ADC is one of the most comprehensively stocked aquatic centers I've had the pleasure of visiting. A wide range of fish, medical supplies for their care and a full range of aquarium decor.

The staff are very knowledgable and are eager to help you with whatever problem or question you may have. I've recommended them highly to friends, and now to the readers here.

After trying several stores across London I have found ADC to be the best. the staff have a no hard sell approach which some people can misinterpret as being ignored but I have found them to be friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and have never struggled to get some help or advice. They even ordered in some Rainbows I have been trying to get especially for me after some store didn't even know what they were. I find the freshwater and marine water fish variety large and love the fact they sell freshwater inverts. The plants are also good quality but could be cheaper. They may be a little pricey on some items although bargains can be found and they also have buy 5 get 1 free on shoaling fish, but thats central London convenience.
