Not sure what they're trying to be - a sports shop or a coffee shop.
They're a very poorly stocked sports shop - not worth making the effort to go there as they probably won't have what you need.
And they're a second-rate coffee shop - you may as well go to one of Balham's many proper coffee shops.
Do one thing well. Being a jack of all trades will not work. Balham needs a proper, specialist and well-stocked sports shop. At the moment you're in a confusing middle ground.

I doubt these guys did anything wrong to your rackets! I have been going there for the past year and have only had perfect service from their restringing side. I have tennis and badminton rackets strung about twice a month. Perfect service, friendly staff I would recommend going there.

Do not go there for stringing your rackets!
I gave them 2 badminton rackets to restring and both of them came back with deformed frames. They didn't try to explain what went wrong and then refused to accept responsibility.
