Dreadful place. Avoid at all costs. Little specialist knowledge. Dreadful customer skills. Little respect for their customers

I went in,fully expecting to purchase running shoes up to £100.

The man who served me appeared to know little about the details of what would make a good running shoe on questioning.

He said I could try on ONE shoe....I couldn't get it into his head that I would have to try walking/running with both shoes to make a rational purchase...

He must have thought I'd run out of the shop wearing his shoes...even though there were 2 police, men hanging around outsi

I've been coming to this store for a number of years now & they always have such a wide selection of top brands that i always find a few interesting items to buy. i find it saves me time & money as there is usually a sale on of some sort too. Great products at great prices! Highly recommended.

I bought 2 pairs of shoes here at the end of summer 09. One pair is fine the other were white Adidas trainers and have been sitting in their box till now. When I took them out of the box to wear them for the first time I found one of the "white" trainers is now yellow. The manager refused to refund the £54.99 paid on the basis I should have returned them within 28 days and no longer have the receipt. He said I could have bought them anywhere thereby implying that I was lying when I took the trouble to take them back to point of purchase. He was not remotely interested in anything I had to say about them including the fact that presumably they took more than 28 days to go yellow anyway so his "policy" could not apply. I am going to sue him for the money and the costs of the claim. What a palaver. I would not recommend this sports outlet and I do hope he gets a copy of this review. Jenny Williamson
