York Hall

i tried to get a membership for swimming. I was told everything had to be done on an app these days as you have to book a lane each time you want to swim. I'm not great with modern technology and asked the chap on the front desk to help me download the app which he agreed. Then when things didn't work he started laughing at me and told me i should know how to work my own phone. I then said I didn't like him laughing at me and left. I have used York Hall over the years but feel angry that you have people on the front desk not willing to help customers with your new rules

I have used the pool daily for 20 years, and while it's been threatened with redevelopment from time to time, I get very good service from it. I am a regular morning swimmer. The pool is 33.3 metres long, the water temperature is generally good, the staff are friendly, and while showers are sometimes damaged, they get fixed in a reasonable time. If I ever move anywhere else in the East End, I will be hard pressed to find better swimming facuilities.
