Place is fairly clean (don't be put off by the outside) but I wouldn't bother going to any sessions beside the 7-9 am or the 7-9 pm Adult only ones. I stupidly went to the 1:30 pm Tuesday session (listed on their website as "free to everyone") and found that was also when they did the school swimming lessons. The entire pool was taken over by screaming, uninterested school children and there was literally not a single lane free for other people to use (Would have appreciated if they told me this when I first paid). I asked to move to another session so went to the 7pm one instead.

There are two pools available, a kiddies pool and the main adults pool.
The kiddies pool has had the heating fixed now, which is a vast improvement to the previous arctic conditions. The kids swimming lessons on Saturday mornings are excellent, the instructors are really nice. Sometimes it's completely empty, and you can have the place to yourselves - othertimes is rammed and it's bobbing room only - depends on the way the wind is blowing. (oh, and the childrens playground outside is quite good too).
The main pool is big and deep (shame the diving boards are out of action) - the temperature is ok, as you'd expect really. They 'lane off' half of the pool for the more serious swimmers, with fast, medium and slow lanes. Generally, the main pool is not too busy - there seems to always be space for serious swimming and also space for messing around.
Both pools are pretty filthy really, you can see the dirt floating around at the bottom of the pool if you've got goggles on. The place is not the most modern of buildings. But, all in all - price is good (with discount cards available), it's convenient, it's not too busy, staff are all really nice. If you don't mind a bit of grime it's a winner.
