The Gymnasium has an incredible history. The Gymnasium was actually the home of the German Gymnasium Society, a sporting association established in London in 1861, and it was arguably the first purpose-built gymnasium in Britain. The venue echoes the very heart of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link - understanding the glory of the past, whilst designing the rail of the future.
